Homework

This will be set on Google Classroom on a Friday and is due in on the following Wednesday. Please also ensure you read with the children wherever possible.

Jade came to school today and brought lots of animals for us to see! We saw a hedgehog, a giant millipede, an african snail, some rabbits, some guinea pigs, a bearded dragon, a tortoise and a snake. We were lucky enough to touch them and were very gentle. When we got back to class we drew pictures of our favourite animas and then wrote sentences about why we liked them.

We have been learning about symmetry and have created some symmetrical pictures using numicon and have drawn symmetrical butterflies.

We have been enjoying our dinosaur topic so far and have been investigating 'bones' in our paleontology lab! We have also been sorting dinosaurs into different groups according to whether they were herbivores or carnivores, whether they had long necks or short necks and whether they walked on 4 legs or 2.

Look at these amazing rockets! We designed them, then made them and then we evaluated them!

When we read the book 'Night Monkey Day Monkey' the children made beautiful collages together in pairs. They also taught Night Monkey to read some words as Night Monkey doesn't get to go to school!

We have been learning how to make 5 in different ways using the part, part, whole method.

We have been learning about 3D shapes. We found out which shapes rolled and which shapes did not and sorted them into 2 groups.

We had a wonderful time this week celebrating kindness week! These are all the things we did: Made bird feeders. Gave people at school thank you cards and flowers. Made bouquets of flowers and cards to give to our families. Made kindness posters. Decorated pebbles with hearts, rainbows and flowers and left them on people's doorsteps with a little note to cheer them up. Remember to spread kindness like confetti.
