Miss Kiely

The children have all enjoyed their first week in Matisse Class. We have been very busy learning and having so much fun!

October 2020 - We have been learning about Repeating Patterns! We read the book 'Can You See Sassoon?' and made our own Sassoon.

We have been learning about Autumn! The children have been exploring outside using their senses.

In class Mrs Thomas has been doing lost of Art activities with us! Here we are painting with fruit.

Forest School - All the children have thoroughly enjoyed exploring over at Forest School.

We have had so much fun during our first term in Reception! December has been a busy month filled with singing songs, taking part in a Santa Dash, watching a short performance by Pip the Elf and still continuing to learn and work hard in the classroom.

I want to take this time to wish you all a Merry Christmas and enjoy your break.

PE will remain on a Thursday next term and the children's reading days also remain the same.

Many thanks for your continued support,

Miss Kiely

Learning about 2D and 3D shapes!

Santa Dash!

We did our Santa Dash in the hall as it was raining. We did not stop running and managed a massive 50 laps! We raised lots of money.

Pip the Elf!

We had a visit from Pip the Elf! we really enjoyed helping her in the workshop.

Christmas Cards!

We made beautiful Christmas cards inspired by Henri Matisse and his Cut Out Art.

Spring Term!

It is lovely to have all the children back in the classroom. We have continued our Dinosaur topic that the children started during remote learning and have been looking at addition. We have been finding different ways to make totals. The children also enjoyed there first Music session with Mr Power.

We have had such a fantastic Summer 1! Throughout this half term we have learnt lots of new things and consolidated previous skills.
