Key information:

PE: We have PE on Friday afternoon this half term.

Monday:

Spelling test. New spellings to learn will be uploaded onto Google Classroom on Mondays. 

Please bring in reading records to be checked.

Tuesday: Please return homework books, to allow enough time to mark. 

Thursday: Homework will be uploaded onto Google classroom. Please complete homework in homework books. You do not need to print out the work.

Reading:

Children are expected to read for 20 minutes a day and then complete a quiz on Accelerated Reader at home, when they have finished their book. Please copy and paste this link, as typing 'Accelerated Reader' on Google will not give you the correct site. https://ukhosted24.renlearn.co.uk/6708488/

Please note: We will keep our windows open during the day for ventilation, so it may become a bit chilly at times. Please can I advise that children have layers e.g. vest under shirt and a jumper, to keep them more comfortable in the classroom as it becomes colder.

Settling in

I have been so proud of how well all the children have settled in to Year 6. We spoken a lot about how being the eldest children in the school comes with the responsibility of being positive role models to others. 

The children have produced some fantastic work around our class text 'Skellig' and we are all very eager to find out what the creature is! We have also produced some fabulous art work around our class artist Ai Weiwei. We used clay to produce sculptures to represent team Weiwei. 

I am really looking forward to a fantastic Year together!
