Key Information and Reminders:

  • Children are expected to bring in their reading books and reading records every day.
  • Children need to read for at least 20 minutes each day.
  • I kindly ask that the children hand in their reading records every Monday so that I can see all of the wonderful reading they have been doing.
  • Reading books can be changed once children have read them. They are expected to complete a reading quiz on Accelerated Reader every time they finish a book:

  • English, Maths, spellings and times tables will go out on Google Classroom every Friday.
  • English and Maths homework is due back on the following Wednesday. Please can both be stuck in/completed in the designated books provided.

It’s National Kindness Week!

 

As a school, we have been discussing the importance of being kind to others and spreading positivity.

 

Thomas, Kahlo and Basquiat class created kindness notes, which we hand delivered to Christ Church. Take a look at some of the photos from the visit!

Ancient Maya Workshop

 

Kahlo, Basquiat and Thomas class took part in a fabulous Maya workshop last week!

 

The children looked the part in their colourful headdresses and outfits! 

 

They played different games, which linked to Maya living and routines. Alongside this, the children were able to use their prior knowledge when asked about the traditional rituals for the Gods!
